Gore and Bush were at the Al Smith dinner tonight in New York. They both did a good job. Both used a lot of humor. Some was self deprecating and funny. One line Bush used is in the elevator he ran into a lady (he gave her name, she was the one he hire to teach him how to project masculine) and she told him he would look good in earth tones. She said she would only charge 15000. to coach him. She said that was the same fee Gore paid to learn how to project masculine. Hooray, just announced the Gallup poll now puts Bush ahead 49 to 39. Double digit lead. Right wins out again.
