Actually, that site looks more expensive on a quick look. I'm seeing $272-274 elsewhere vs $279. Apparently the K's are less pure than the others, as well as less popular.

The Krugerrand got put on the international shit list back in the latter days of apartheid, new ones were even stopped from entering the US as I recall. Prior to that the Krand was THE gold bullion coin of choice. Anyway, the coin never really recovered from that. which is sort of amazing when you think about it.
