ALL

We(I) NEED major market index charts for 1869 crash - or really the time right after the 1869 crash.

One never knows where the bottom is until long after the fact. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that Wednesday morning’s action was a very brief capitulation that marks the end of the tech wreck. Usually the capitulation lasts for 1 or 2 days in which investors experience true horror and misery. However, I believe that many investors noted that for the last three years the market has dipped through September and October and rallied from that point through year-end. Thus, many were waiting to pounce once the market collapsed. And this time they moved in at light speed to turnaround the day and the market in dramatic fashion. Today we saw solid follow through action with many strong earnings announcements to fan the flames. I think I'll let Bill Gates manage my money from here on in.<ggg>

PS I do expect some volatility, but the general trend should be up through year end.

XAU in the upper 30's is possible but I don't think it would stay there very long. BWDIK.

There goes any remaining popularity you had left.
