Know of any links for charts of the major market indexs back then? Really would like to see the charts! Maybe a layover with today's? I think (somehow) there may well be something "magic" - not fully understood yet about gold & what happens to the broad market when it is manipulated. It was manipulated in 1869 but it also happened before that - in the times which might be best called pre-history. Back when bankers loaned out more gold than they owned....Issued more gold bonds than gold in total existence.
