The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, which is hearing the appeal, set a schedule on Wednesday, with first legal brief due Nov. 27 and oral arguments set for next February.

Appeals court may seek tech education

In a two-page notice, the appeals court tentatively tapped Michael H. Hites, the chief technology officer of the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, to conduct the Nov. 14 briefing. The court gave Microsoft and government antitrust officials until next Wednesday to respond to the plan.
