Thanks for the kind compliments Jenna.

You may or may not know, but my site has been around for over two years, first starting as a hobby, when I retired from the brokerage industry after a 12-year career. I found trading at home to be a little boring, so I thought I would start a little chat room to see if I could meet fellow traders who were like-minded, and it grew from there: ispeculator.com

The site has always been a small, cosy place, mainly attracting those who wanted to know more about technical trading techniques, since I trade only index futures for my own account now. However, I did trade stocks for over ten years, and was involved in corporate finance as well in my former professional life, so now and then, I may provide some useful insight.

To make a long story short, I guess my site was never too popular since my take of the capital markets has always been a little unique, to say the least. Having worked in the heart of the business end of the industry, I developed some, shall we say, negative attitudes toward how the "trading and corporate finance industry" never ceases to find ways to exploit the unique combination of greed, inexperience and naivete that many retail clients seem to possess. ispeculator.com

Of course, when the market was going up, it didn't matter, since the crumbs left to the little guys were still plentiful, but over the past six months, everyone has sobered up, and realized that trading is actually a business, one that cannot be taken lightly, since, by definition, it's all about money, and therefore a serious game. And in the end, to stay in the game, one must know what they are doing, starting with risk and money management, and decent trading techniques.

Oh well, it all goes around in a big circle anyway...sorry about the long post.

Teresa
