Can the glass be seen as neither 1/2 full nor 1/2 empty, rather that it contains 1/2 of it's total contents? Can we simply retrun to no hype?

Do you believe that all companies should derive their value from the balance sheet? That would get you to the "no hype" situation. How do you account for the future possibilities of a company? Who is to say what "1/2 of the total contents" is?

As to returning to no hype, probably not. The genie is out of the bottle. Look at the newsmedia...sensationalism, both good and bad. And now we have a dramatic change in the profile of the average investor and remember, we are playing a game where the house is trying to take our money. They are going to use every trick that they have to take our money....hype is going to be right at the top of the bag of tricks.

Hype is here to stay, both negative and positive.
