<<Study Finds That Many Large Companies
Pay No Taxes>>

What a STUPID article! Doesn't everyone understand taxes are a part of doing business. As such the taxes are also part of & built into the cost of products - ALL PRODUCTS! The consumer always pays ALL TAXES - one way or the other - every time - no matter what - no way around it!

Just another example of anti Free-Market TRIPE! Talk about bias! Funded by Unions

Many Large Companies Pay No Taxes

Actually, while technically correct, taxes are paid... but primarily by those employees who exercise their stock options and thereby pay their capital gains tax on their transaction.

Corporations pocket the cash from the exercise price of the options and take their deduction, equivalent to technically selling stock in a private placement at a discount to market value.

Now while I absolutely detest the mis-use of non-qualified stock options where the public stock markets subsidize the corporate wage expenses, unless the law is changed with regard to GAAP accounting rules, it's perfectly legal.

See Bill Parish's discussion on the abuse of non-qualified options plans by MSFT and CSCO.
