Bob erroneously believes that the information will better stay out of the hands of nonsubscribers by using snail mail.

Right. What it actually does is ensure that it stays out of the hands of subscribers. It just delays it for everyone, because apparently (sadly) someone had posted the bulletin contents on the web even before most subscribers got it.

Of course, Bob might have a point. Is it possible that if he had disseminated the info before the market opened on Fri, 10/13, that he wouldn't have gotten as good a price for his clients in the BJ Group? He owes them before his subscribers. That could be the real reason for the snail mail. Just speculation, of course. Still, for fairness, he could use instant or overnight delivery for subscribers, but just delay it as long as "needed" for his BJ Group clients.
