OT: It's interesting that someone who doesn't care about environmental pollution lives in the Berkshire mountains, one of the few places in this country with clean air. Even if it is true that the globe is cooler than 3000 years ago, that has nothing to do with the fact that poisons in the air and water are harmful to all of God's creatures. (I happen to be one of the unfortunate people who have physical problems and feel sick from air pollution.) Will the scientifically-proven damage done to lung tissue from ozone, NOx, etc. also be dismissed as "junk science"? It's amazing how conservatives don't think that polluting and ruining the earth that God created contradicts their "religious convictions."

BTW, I am not a liberal nut, I am (like most people in the US) in the center. I am also a long-time subscriber to the newsletter and admire GG's writing and insight on technology. He predicted the success of QCOM and Uniphase long before they became popular.
