"it is highly unlikely that Nok will become a dominant supplier of high Quality cdma chipsets" "they probably wouldn't be licensed"

Between "highly unlikely" & "probably", you sound a little nervous.

Caxton, Nokia has a QCOM license for CDMA 2G. Do you or anyone else here know if IPR's are sold only in packages labeled 2G, WCDMA etc. Or can it be the way, I believe some PR-woman at Nokia said, that they have in the existing license enough to go ahead. That would certainly surprise me but some of the basic stuff must be in the 2G package - what *specific* extra IPR is required to sell WCDMA, apart from the GSM content?
An honest question to anyone, with specific knowledge.
