I sometimes watch Jeopardy alot, then take a break. I would go on, but I live in fear of having the wild card element undermine me. I want to hit the Final Jeopardy with enough points that I do not have to bet to win. I am a strong player, but one wants to be sure of how studio conditions will affect one. I was on a franchised show, "It's Academic", in high school a few times. Although my team, with me as anchor (and one year, captain) won the rounds that were straightforward, we lost in buzzer competition, because the advisor never arranged practices (I was made captain, the one year, just before the taping). Oddly, we lost to the same team, both years, narrowly. My sophomore year, it was in a semi- final, my junior year, in the opening round. They would buzz without thinking, and hope that someone knew the answer, so unless the answer immediately popped into one's head, it was impossible to beat them on the buzzer. Any hesitation, you were doomed. Of course, they missed some, but got enough to win......
