<<<<<Must be out of square and not level if your already buying shingles to shim. Geezum Crow Nemer..!

no sir, I don't build things like that .......
square and level .... that's me ... and solid ...

you misread my post ....
said I was using the shims on the fountain, which is outside the plant room on an 10x10 ft interlocking brick pad

those cheapo (my fav kind) hand cast concrete four tiered
fountains *must* be shimmed to be level and have the water spill over to the rims in an even manner ......

can't believe you even thought I'd construct an unsound structure .........

ok ...
it is now time to make this a complete OffTopic post .... (again, one of my fav kind) ....

here is a bonito method to make any rock construction around H2O appear to be aged and not newly built .....

couple or three cups of moss (gathered fresh and cleaned)

#3 washtub
1 gal buttermilk
4or5 lb potter’s clay

blender
paintbrush
garden hose with spray nozzle

break up the clay into fairly small chunks, pour in part of the buttermilk, mix up with your hands, dump in the rest of the buttermilk, mix some more, put into blender with some of the moss and puree well, wet your rocks down, paint on blended mixture, spray several times per day to keep *painted* rocks moist,

Moss growth will be rapido
and
will *age* the project nicely ....

oh yeah, works best for shade, sunny areas demand nearly constant spray ..... tho a garden waterfall will provide this ....

I'm ready to start this waterfall deal probably in March as I missed the growing time window due to all the travel we've been doing the past several months.......

one of these days, I'll get the scanner hooked back up and send you some pics .........

out of square and level, INDEED

<<<<<<<We had about 10 bundles to put up. I feathered in the outside and inside corners and then laid out the runs for the rest of the volunteer crew...! I don't believe they got it totally done before the leaves started to fall.

hey ..... I thought you'd be doing it ALL ......
I have to .......\\\\
on my 13 hour driving trip yesterday I stopped in Dallas coming home and pickup up some GREAT pansies .....
I'll put out the four flats this weekend ....
bright cheery yellow
and

for my Halloween display -------
I got 8 bright yellow mums too, in 8 inch pots to put on the front porch along with a wagon wheel, couple of bales of hay, an old saddle, couple of scarecrows, some punkins, and some horseapples ....

that is NO typo on the 13 hours worth of driving yesterday ....
left house at 9am, drove 325 miles with some friends, picked up Marilyn, no lollygagging time, got in her car and drove home ... got back to Paris at 10:30 last evening ...
wee bit tired this morning but I've got work to do ......
