I thought I read it in Barron's, but I might have confused it with the short selling category. At this advisory, they show L/S funds up 16% and Arbitrage funds up 10% YTD, but short funds are down over 14% YTD. This is still quite a bit better than the average equity MF. Still, the market timing funds have outperformed all other categories for a few years now:

When we start seeing market timing mutual funds, it will be time to go long, IMO.
