I read your statistics. Do you think the minorities are being convicted on false charges? Please post some kind of backup analysis rather than numbers that can be interpreted many different ways. If I'm not mistaken, Texas' 4 largest cities all have minority mayors. Dallas and Houston have black mayors, while El Paso and San Antonio have hispanic mayors. They if I'm not mistaken run the police departments.knc

<I noticed you completely ignored the statistics. With all of the folks going to jail in Texas, including a tremendous imbalance of incarceration of non-violent crime offenders against the national average, the crime rate in Texas dipped only five percent, compared to the state of New York where the rate dipped 21 percent.

Go back and read the statistics I cited. Don't you think something's wrong?>

Let me give you an answer. After 8 years of Mario Cuomo as Gov., NY lost about 10% of our population who fled the state to get away from the huge tax burden and to chase the jobs we lost because because of his regulations and taxes. Texas on the other hand has been growing in population and is way up in job and economic growth. Now you go check the stats.
