Re: "If your 2nd Amendment is so clear-cut.. why havent any of the tepid gun laws such as the Brady Bill been consitutionally challenged and overturned if its so slam dunk certain?"

I think it's because good men have stood by and allowed their rights to be taken.

I gave you my opinion.

I give you the example of the supremes and gun registration and you ask a question like this?

What are you *NUTS*(not you personally ) --

The interpretation of the laws in the US is mostly by opinion poll.

Dougsf30 -- The 'Minute Men' were considered to be a 'Militia'. Were they legally constituted?

One of the funniest things I've heard recently is on the subject of campaign speeches by a judge(Trying to get elected.) A court ruling on a defamation case by his opponent found that it was not illegal to lie about your opponent's record in the course of a campaign speech.

Because many people do not like guns, and many elected officals and judges care more about their personal ideas or the support of those who are against guns then they care about the actual words of the constitution. Some people support the idea of the "living constitution" which in practice means that the constitution is interpreted to mean whatever supports the agenda of the interpreter.
