San Mateo, Calif. (October 13, 2000)—Jewelry e-tailer Miadora, which recently shut down, has sold its inventory and that of its subsidiary, Jewelry.com, for $2.5 million to Internet inventory liquidator Overstock.com, Salt Lake City.

According to Overstock.com, the inventory has a retail value of $12 million.

The company plans to sell the merchandise on its site at discounted prices.

Overstock.com acquired more than 1,500 SKUs of jewelry, including diamond earrings, bracelets and rings, gold and silver jewelry and watches from Rolex, TAG Heuer, Breitling and Cartier.

The inventory is being relocated to Overstock.com's new warehouse in Salt Lake City and will be available on its Web site by November.
