Skunks carry rabies but aren't effected by it. Now the skunk bites Myers or Tesh and THEY get rabies and bite you, we'll start a Rambi Memorial thread. BTW, the idea of picking a skunk up by the tail and they can't spray you, doesn't work and only gets the glands closer.

All said, I think skunks are cute. Pepe Lepew. But if you have rabies in the area call your animal control officer.

They obviously are no more eager to be impolite to a skunk than you were.
