Actually, it means you haven't got the courage of your convictions. Why should anyone listen to someone who hasn't the guts to put their money where their mouth is?

Also, holding a position doesn't make the trader 'bias'. The opinion is formed and then the trade is entered. I don't wake up, look at my brokerage account and find myself short 1000 WXYZ and then start arguing that WXYZ is an overpriced POS. I form the opinion, and then trade based on that opinion.

Of course for you it's probably a fiscally sound decision that you don't trade on your convictions.
