I have posited what I call the False God problem.

What if the Bible was written by Satan and he was asking us to ignore the reason God gave us in order to fool us? We are told to believe blindly because using reason prevents us from being fooled. Since all truth is necessarily part of The Truth, discovery of truth only discovers the deception.

In many ways, this explains the forbidden nature of the Tree of Knowledge (and the true nature of Original Sin) better than God's simple prohibition for us to consume something that was obviously going to be a lure. And why didn't he kick out the serpent if he was all knowing? However, if he was flawed, yet still relatively powerful and wanted to maintain the deception the he was God despite his feebleness as a fallen angel, then Knowledge would be his worst enemy.

P=1/n where n is the number of possible faiths.

Only true if n are each unique faiths. A more complicated problem is when certain faiths overlap. Catholicism and Protestants have considerable overlap, yet each claims they are unique. So, poor Pascal will have to go back to his blackboard and assign the relative area of P(C AND P)
