I'd vote for an Asian outfit as the likely acquirer, and the Koreans would be bidders. Samsung certainly has financial heft.

NOK would be a real longshot.

Here's another longshot, but everybody knows the inscrutible Chinese are really targeting the handset biz. Right now just a gaggle of small players, but the state can still change everything. They seemingly don't have a ton of money, but there could be other considerations...

I wouldn't be averse to some sort of deal where ERICY's handset biz were merged into anothers and ERICY retained some substantial ownership interest.
