Wall Street Week guest recommends Qualcomm. Jeff Van Harte, portfolio manager for Transamerica Premier Equity Fund was asked if he was buying any cell phone stocks that had been beaten down. His answer Qualcomm--it's the leader in that sector and he believes that the entire world eventually will "move to Qualcomm's platform." He's been buying it recently and mentioned no others in the sector. He didn't say that Qcom would earn royalties on all forms of 3G as most would state it; he said "platform." I assume he knew what he was saying.
