Joey,

I dont see many 1.1GHz Athlons around, let alone 1.2GHz.

HP: hpshopping.com
Gateway: gateway.com
Compaq has them on their home page: www5.compaq.com

Do you just rip off McEngle's ideas and post them as your own? I wonder what you guys would do without the continuous suck he delivers to you guys. According to Paul's "no retail systems" philosophy of 1.2 GHz Athlon availability, Dell doesn't count as an Intel customer.

Actually, given that Gateway has set up Gateway Country stores in a bunch of OfficeMax stores, I bet there are a plenty of 1.2 GHz Athlons available in retail as well as through the direct channel.

But, whatever you need to make reality suit your fantasies.

Joey, You seem to be about as bright as a bag of hammers, claw hammers, you know, the smarter kind, if you feel the Athlon 1.2 is a reaction to an Intel virtual part coming in the future. WHAT pray tell is a funny speed like 1.13 Ghz? in a P-III? Do you suspect it is just a reaction by Intel to try and beat the Athlon 1.1Ghz....naw, that is a real leap even for a claw hammer brain. Well, that's what it was, the P-III 1.13 Ghz was a faked release of a part that does not exist for marketing reasons.
Doubt me? go buy a P-III 1.13 Ghz.
That reminds me of the dead parrot sketch in Monty Python,
yes, the 1.13 Ghz P-III is not dead, it is "just resting"
