I never said that and I don't think all teachers stink. There are always exceptions or "Rarebirds" in every profession, field or sector. Even in Bear Markets, 10-15% of stocks buck the trend. My son's AP Calculus Teacher is no exception. After utilizing his common sense and telling the class that he only became a teacher after not getting into Law School, the teacher was wondering why the kids in the class were calling him "stupid" and throwing papers at him. Keep in mind here, that these kids go to a specialized gifted HS in Math and Science and they can only take AP Calculus if they have at least a 90% average in Math. These kids like to think and enjoy learning. If your a teacher and you make these kids learn, these kids will adore you. This teacher called up all the parents on his cell phone during class last week and was complaining about their behavior. When he called me up and said that my son called him "stupid", I said "don't you think it was stupid on your part to tell the class that you only became a teacher after not getting into Law School?" I then asked him "if my son was failing." He said, Oh no, "he is doing quite well on the tests." I then responded, "what are you bothering me for then? Just teach the Friggin Calculus Class so I don't have to teach it to my son and if you take it out on my son's grade I'm going straight to the principal and superintendent and I'm going to pay you a personal visit. You better grow up" and then I hung up. I hold the Teachers responsible for the poor math and reading scores. I worked as a High School Math Teacher in the Public Schools in the 1980's and have the highest respect, in principle, for a Teacher. A great teacher is a divinity. (There are teachers of the Gold Market on GPM too once you get past the Insanity.). Most students hold their teachers in the highest esteem. But woe to the Teacher who disappoints its students!!!
