I didn't know SUNW sold PC'S? About a year ago IBM was losing money in the pc business (about a million a quarter). So Lou.G made "the pc is dead" statement as the service and mainframe/sw business was doing good back then. That's when all the analysts starting "the pc is dead" hype. So now IBM is losing money on their SW/mainframe business but the pc is healthy as GTW reported good pc sales also. This fares well with MSFT and the pc makers. We'll know more after HWP/CPQ report as DELL already said they will miss. TTOSBT
