When you speak of the poor, the impoverished, the unsheltered and the ill~clothed...

are you forgetting that Jesus the Prophet , dressed just as poorly , identified with the simply led lives, and
lived not in a castle and didn't wear gucci shoes?
Yet he was rich in spirit, if not dressed
and clothed in nice silk and velvets.

Nice of you as expected , to always find the best in another way of life and people and draw attention to one
less than complimentary depiction of a simpler way of life. That and other cultures of the east have given you more than you'll ever know. Such a need to feel superior...so insecure.

When you speak of Drugs and Superstitions, very nice how we Christian westerners brought in millions of pounds of Opium smuggled into China to undermine their rulers and addict their populations by the millions...with opium grown in India.

This is the result Christianity in action you would speak of?

Seems Christianity has always sought solace in rule and domination and wealth and power, kings and riches and finally , industrialization....while always trying to save souls. The superstitions of another taken in true context can be no smaller or greater than your own.

Seem to remember something about witches being burned at the stake, tortured or drowned...and such trials being enacted even on our soil?

If you would have me agree with you and to cherish the truths you have...or a Jew to a Moslem, so forth and so
on....lets be a little more introspective and a little less prone to set ourselves up as superior. A little more tollerance will finally dawn and the gates will be flung open for all understanding.

Christians came upon the New world of the west Indies...and
in less than 15 years , almost the entire population of 15million Native human beings dieed the most cruel deaths from disease brought upon them , and their peace destroyed.

It's very relative...do more searching in your heart and save yourself alot of the missing pieces.

Food for thought.

500million people practice Buddhism, my friend for over
2500 years and going stronger than ever. It is a practice for all time based on non-violence and harmony. Even many
Christians, Jews , and Moslems have interest to practise it , with great success and improving their own relationship
with their Creator.

Buddha taught the way, and lived the way.

Very Simple, yet following that path can be the razor's edge. He did not teach a Way that was easy, but one all must choose to take if they are to ascend. And one above all else was non-violent to all living things.

All living things, good Christian.
