I am aware of that. Nowadays, the contract manufacturers often become an integral part of a company's supply chain and will often be tied into the sales order system as well as procurement. There are great cost savings that can be achieved by outsourcing manufacturing to a company that has ironed out many of the inefficiencies of the process. I know that Floydie is a champion scam buster...one of the great contributors on SI in this particular niche.
