Growth Rates

SanDisk's growth has been exceptional.

TOTAL REVENUES

1998 Q4 $38.22 million

1999 Q1 $44.14 million
1999 Q2 $52.55 million
1999 Q3 $67.53 million
1999 Q4 $82.77 million

2000 Q1 $109.37 million
2000 Q2 $143.95 million
2000 Q3 $170.80 million
2000 Q3 $195.00 million (???)

SanDisk will surpass $600 million in total revenues in 2000.
I have revised my 2000 EPS to $1.29, down from $1.42, due to
the fact that the Q2 blowout distorted the EPS growth curve.

If this is realized SanDisk will have more than doubled 1999
total revenues while tripling the 1999 EPS of 43¢ per share.

Not that this is anything to be alarmed about - as yet, but this is taken from the President of e.Digital's Letter to Shareholders (in the annual meeting proxy statement):

We are integrating rotating media into portable devices to take advantage of their larger storage capacities and lower costs relative to Flash memory. We still believe the future holds many applications for Flash memory in portable devices, but we foresee a market quickly emerging for less expensive, removable, rotating media and have already incorporated several into our designs as options for our licensees and OEM customers. Our early involvement with the new storage media such as IBM's Microdrive and DataPlay is one of the reasons OEM customers are attracted to our state-of-the-art product design services.

You never know when a new trend is going to catch on and keep growing.
