"We are here to dominate THIS SPACE" (or maybe it
was pack??)

was the full sentence, if I remember right.

I'm sure those words were not selected on the spot
nor by accident, but carfully selected to be used
for certain questions, like "what goes up must go
down", the "asian,japanese scare",etc.

That is, I also noticed that very repeated sentence,
and IMO it was a good combination of "read my lips",
"no (new) taxes", "evil empire", "coke is it", etc in a
situation which might lead to another market crash, as well
as understanding that the market should be competitive (we
like competition,etc) and not monopolistic.

I do not think it is by accident new models are introduced
later in USA than in GSM-land, but an understanding that
one need to respect domestic markets and their
specific problems, like China, Korea, Japan, etc.

This should be fairly well "instilled" in finns, as
all of Finland could have been bought by the Swedes
(hello, you are cute, Ericsson advertisement here is
really fun) after WW2 using their weekly allowance..

That is, constructive competition, free markets compared
to destructive variations.

Ilmarinen.

P.S. The standard responce (on both sides) on Nokia-Ericsson
has been and probably still is that "the competition is
good for both" (remembering the days when most nations
had their own more or less monopolitistic telecom operators
and manufacturers, and NMT opened up competition within
scandinavia, and luckily EU did even more at the start
of the 90s, the race for GSM)

P.P.S. I really enjoyed the CNBC pack talking about how
they:

- don't need a new phone
- never liked the one they have
- mobile phones while playing golf (what about tennis??)
- uneducated, low salary,IQ commoners having all
these dirty habits of using their phone in public
- difficulties carrying the phone around because of their
fat middle aged middle manager swollen waist status as well
as problems using it with fat fingers (what's Limbaughs
best jokes on cellular phones?? any natives who can
give a short list??)
- etc, etc, even more hilarious things

Btw, if anyone feels the urge I could give some french
links on the joy of mobile phones among the commoners,
Nokia is more popular than most.

P.P.P.S. Sorry, I had not expected that much fat idiot talk
from the CNBC pack, Rush should dominate that space.
