American Spirit: The polls are most confusing. I find it amusing that just a few weeks ago all the Bush supporters were hollering that the only polls that matter are P of A and Zogby. But now that CNN is the most favorable to Bush, that is the one they all are embracing.

Latest Reuter's poll, released this morning, shows Bush with a 1-point lead. The most recent Ohio poll from the Columbus Dispatch shows Bush ahead 45-41 (with a 4 percent error of margin), and a Michigan poll released today shows the race dead even in that state. Perhaps the CNN poll calls lots of people who live in Wyoming and Texas. Hard to say.

The race will tighten up in the home stretch unless the anti-Clinton-Gore hatred factor is greater than I thought. Obviously, Gore profits from each state deciding rather than a national vote deciding.

Funny, they never questioned or wondered about their own poll when it showed Gore significantly ahead a few weeks ago.
