Right. If most semis/chip users were giving anything close to the guidance Sun gave, then AMAT would be at 100 today. But, for every Sun, there is an Apple. For every Microsoft, there is a Intel.

If I was smarter, I'd have bought Sun years ago. But the valuation is just too high now, and I won't pay that high a PE for anything.

I'll just watch from the sidelines, while it doubles and doubles and doubles again.........

ST,

Customers who have no choice are obliging Sun, but when the day comes, they will be what IBM when it fell from the grace in late 80s.

I wholeheartedly agree. SUNW is a bubble in search of a pin. What the press fails to mention every time they talk about SUNW, is that comparable products from MSFT will do the same thing as theirs for at least 33% less. I wish SM would *shut up* and focus on business instead of constantly berating(whining about) MSFT and BG. This is certainly not the type of management I want to invest in. Not only is he taking his eye off the prize(running his business), but he is also getting the competition very fired up. A competitor which BTW has virtually unlimited resources at their disposal. Very stupid IMHO.
