Man, are you on the wrong side! Check out what Bush has done in Texas. The GOPside is the worst when it comes to the drug war. Don't ya remember all those bucks Bush's dad wasted when volunteered to be in charge of America's Drug Interdiction Program? Don't ya remember the bag of crack senior Bush held up on national tv after his agents entrapped someone into selling the stuff right across from the White House so the prez could go on tv and say, "See? They're dealing it right across from the White House!" The dealer got off, by the way, as it was an obvious entrapment. Reagan was no good on the issue either. And, guess what? Nixon started it all! Republicans drooled over the Drug Forfeiture Act whereby property got confiscated when drugs were found. This had the effect of causing federal agencies to compete against each other--not helpful when it comes to court testimony--so as to get the goods from the forfeitures. Police departments everywhere got rich and got to a point where they were always getting new squad cars. Guess where the old ones went? They became taxi cabs, virtually a subsidiary for private business as they get cabs on the government auction block real cheap. My friend, if only the rank and file Republicans knew for real what the GOPinsiders do. Sadly, however, Democrats ain't much better when it comes to this issue. However, they are better when it comes to civil liberties. And you should know this by now.
