ALR, i do share ur concern with co's like williams and broadwing...i certainly would not be investing in that sector...but i have read many reports stating that expenditures on the equipemnt side will increase and not decrease...co's like GLW, JDSU and CIEN are not seeing a slowdown...if there was going be a slowdown, these co's would be coming back down to earth...the mkt. is quite fast and reactionary to any signs of weakness...but in 1-2 yrs, i totally agree with u...the fiber mkt. will have to go through a consolidation and cleansing process which will analogous to the dot.com phenomenon...already we are seeing the early signs of a shakeout happening...co's like OPLK, STLW, BKHM not trading in the 100's like it would be doing if they had come public a yr earlier...all in all, i do agree with u but i disagree about the timing...the first tier fiber suppliers have another 1-2 yrs of explosive growth imo and the mkt should reward them like they always have for growth....jmwo.
