A link to Samsung and their size not just in the memory chip industry but semiconductor industry in total. Note: which other chip makers are in the top 4 NEC, Toshiba and Intel. All of the top 4 either produce in droves Rambus licensed products and/or have licensed with Rambus not only RDRAM, but also DDR and SDRAM (talks with Samsung in regard to the latter condition are in process).

When following the value chain with Rambus I put a far disproportionate emphasis on what the larger players were doing than what the smaller players were doing. It was an easy choice do you follow VIA and AMD or INTC, Samsung and DELL?
