"Apparently Brinker thinks he did indeed move the market when he gave the famous "buy QQQ" recommendation last spring. On his show today, he attributed the gap up in the QQQ that Monday to his call on the radio."

I think Bob's calls can have a small effect on the market, particularly on the market open. Market opening prices are set by amateurs, as they generally submit their orders before the market opens. In contrast, the market close is set by the pros who are actively trading into the close. Bob's affect, therefore, is more on the open, and that is in congruity with his gap up statement.

"Tis is the reason he will no longer make those calls on the radio and why the latest call was made in the newsletter only."

Naw...This is what Bob SAYS s the reason he will no longer make those calls on the radio..." The real reason is to sell more newsletter subscriptions!
