The last post brings up a good point. The structure of Lanier's debt may be such that a $100 million reduction in debt brought about by the sale of the voice products group could have a disportionate effect upon their financial condition. It may be enough to allow the lenders to release restrictions such as the current ban on share repurchases.

Although I really just came here to see the speculation on the sale of the voice products group, I may end up investing in Lanier after all!
