Re: "Hmmm, Intel has two cores they could use - coppermine (too slow) or willamette (too big). Will they go with too slow or too big? And they'll still be 32 bit."

You are WRONG on two counts !

Re: "Even at .13 how many fewer than 50 dual core Willamettes will Intel be yielding per wafer? Too bad they'll have to compete with a dual 64 bit chip. OTOH, maybe Intel will put two Itanium cores on a chip - that should be easy to yield!"

My, my, my, my my !!!

So much confidence in a DUAL version of a 64 bit CPU that hasn't even been completely designed yet !!

And don't forget 3Dan, - you were telling everybody that AMD would have Server SMP chip sets IN OEM SERVERS last August - and your Perfect AMD has now admitted the SMP chip set isn't even ready yet - and WON'TT BE READY until Q1 or Q2 of NEXT YEAR !!

What a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT !!!

Maybe that Dual x86-64 chip won't be as "punctual" as you'd like to believe !
