I've never heard anyone say that before. Seems to me the systems people would need to own fiber, not the component suppliers. Just as GLW buys some components from SDL and integrates them into their products, someone else, like NT or CIEN, buys fiber from GLW and integrates it into their systems. Is Ackerman suggesting JDSU should become a systems' house? Do you see the combined company going in this direction?

I don't know the fiber players. In addition to Pirelli, Corning, and Lucent, I suspect there are numerous others. Maybe someone can post a list.
