Remember though that Bush has HUGE leads in the some of the deep South and Rocky states plus Texas. More than 20% in some cases. If Gore's margins have narrowed in Calif and New York and New England and he beats Bush in the right key states Gore wins even if he's behind in the polls. Again the battlegrounds are what matter now and Bush can't claim any of them yet. I'll give him Ohio but he needs more. He needs to steal a traditionally democratic state to win. And he must win Florida. Gore has been slightly ahead in Florida lately. And if Clinton can come in and rally Arkansas and Louisiana (with its 40% black vote) well then -
