Jacob,

Per my understanding for your situation:
a) Cycle is not over but AMAT will go to 30
b) Cycle is over then no point in buying even at 30

As I see it, you want the cake and you don't want to eat it as well.

Yes, history DOES repeat. Unfortunately it repeats unknowingly. Changes on horizon such as 300mm, new found demand sources such as optics and AMAT jumping in new fields will hopefully make them more resiliant to market (or SOX) in future.

Do you have GTC order at 30?

If AMAT does go to 30, what will happen to rest of semi companies? I will bet % gain to be made will be not in AMAT - more likely in LRCX,NVLS,KLAC or MTSN,ASYT etc (since they will be close to book and not AMAT). In which case why even bother with AMAT @ 30?

Happy hunting.

PS: I have NO position in AMAT. But I have position in other semi companies such as MTSN,PRIA,CMOS,TER ...
