Paul,

Barrons has been bearish on CSCO for a long time. I think that they are on a path of "we have to be right or our value to the investment community will be impacted". So, they roll out the negative rhetoric. I have yet to see one bearish guy or gal make a point that CSCO is not executing fundmentally, that they are losing market share, that the market they're going after is not growing faster than any other market on the map, etc. etc... All the bears have said is that "CSCO is overvalued because they have such a high PE". They never go deeper - they never seek the cause of the high PE. Could it be that CSCO is priced at these levels because they are growing at accelerating rates?... even as a $20B company?

Seems to me they take the pulse of the patient (CSCO) and since it's beating at 180 beats/minute they say the patient is sick. But they don't look to see why the pulse is running so hot... it's because they are leading a marathon!

OG
