Great call! Despite my concern about valuations, I believe that in the short term technicals rule and that you are the expert - and have shifted my stance from short term bearish to bullish. Some fundamental factors contributing to bullishness (despite high P/Es which will ultimately lead to decline longer term as you predict):
1. Oil prices should drop by the spring/the mideast is still volatile but no longer a powderkeg.
2. Bush will win the election - favors smaller govt, supports business vs Gore (attacks business, favors big govt) - note the trend between the market rise the last few days and the very recent polls where Bush has not only overtaken Gore but is starting to establish a commanding lead.

All imo,

Gary
