It doesn't appear they looked at some of the latest polls!

For example:

Wisconsin is outside the margin of error on a Portrait of America poll on 10/14/00: Gore 38, Bush 44.

Illinosis is now tied according to today Chicago Sun-times poll.

Iowa is outside the margin of error on a Portrait of America poll on 10/14/00: Gore 40, Bush 46.

I think your post of CO safe for Gore is a typo, it is definitely safe for Bush.

NH is within the margin of error in a Research 2000 poll ran on 10/16-18: Gore 44, Bush 41.

MO is within the margin of error on last Research 2000 poll and outside margin of error on last Portrait of America Poll. The Research 2000 poll is the most recent. They may be right on MO being a toss-up, I am still calling it leaning Bush.

NM could go either way. I don't have any October polls and am basing my prediction on the Sept Portrait of America Poll.

A Portrait of America poll in California on 10/14/00 had Gore with a 4 point lead. A different poll in California last week had Gore with a 6 point lead. I classify California as leaning Gore at this time, no longer safe.
