why does AMD only have 12% of the European market?

This was 4 weeks ago. Given the growth rate, we're already up two ticks:)

imploding ASP's for INTC...

Is that why Intel is forecasting their almost obscene gross margins of 62 - 63% to continue through next year? In fact, when Osha tried to talk them down on the CC Tuesday, Bryant said they may even go up around 3Q of next year. Methinks you make too many assumptions just because of the state of one segment: desktop, which the P4 will change anyway. About the contribution of other segments to GMs, like notebooks and servers, might as well use a 2X4 with you guys....no, even that wouldn't do any good.

Did you happen to see that Intel based servers now have 56% share in the >$10,000 server market? Big, big boost to ASPs from that.

Tony

Re: "Nevertheless, AMD continues to ship all it can produce...Get used to that Paul...AMD ships all it produces."

You haven't listened to Colonel Sanders' Q3 2000 conference call !

Those DooWrongs are going to be sitting on the shelves for awhile.
