flapjack, I received my Kiplinger Letter this week and it had some interesting input. It looks like we are going to relax our laws to allow more H-1B visas in order to get more qualified workers into our country. I am happy to see that. I am even more happy to see that some of organized labor is supporting this worthy cause. We need these folks that have outstanding skills. Another interesting thing they do cite that may surprise you is that foreigners earn half of U.S. PhDs and 33% of our Masters Degrees. I believe that points up that we need to better prepare our children. We have been selfish to support teachers unions and their fiefdom to the disadvantage of our children. Competition is always good. It brings out the best in us or forces us out if we are unqualified or unwilling to produce.

Goron says to close them immediately. What happens to the children then? He wants 100K more teachers. They are quitting left and right now. He's a dreamer.knc
