Basically, the court said Falwell wasn't libeled because no reasonable person would believe anything Flint published.

Flynt lost his case of honesty in regard to Jerry Falwell. The courts ruled in his favor because they said caricature parody was protected under the first amendment.

Since he has started taking on the right wing hypocritical lunatics he has hit nothing but bullseyes. It's not that he's so good at it, it that they have made just too easy with their holier than thou song and dance.
