Maybe not the death of Vivus, but a serious blow.

Everyone was saying that Alibra was a sure thing. Now it is clear that there are some problems serious enough that Vivus withdrew the NDA (to avoid a rejection).

If they can't get Alibra through, then what about their FSD drug (Alista)?

This has to make one wonder and reminds us to always be cautious with drugs still under investigation.
