Yes, that certainly is one effect. The other is the Columbia river dams and the salmon issue. Gore is afraid to take a stand, one way or another, because he's afraid of upsetting his environmental wacko base. Bush has categorically said "he will not remove the dams and will find other alternatives to protect the salmon runs". The funny thing is, this year the salmon runs have been huge! And no one knows why.

Another reason is 570kvi.com is the top radio station in Seattle, and it's totally conservative.

If you took downtown rabid left wing Seattlelites out of the voting booth, it would be something like 55% Bush. City folks around the nation seem to love liberal concepts. Maybe it's because they spend all their time surrounded by concrete, and don't realize beautiful trees, forests and mountains still exist in America. :)

It will be close though. Gore's pumping huge amounts of money in an effort to win Washington. And the anti-life commercials depicting back allay abortions if Bush is elected, are probably having an effect on some suburban women voters.
