Paul didn't Baxter acquire a machine from another company (actually the patent was acquired through a lawsuit I believe) however I remember it being able to assist in stem cell replacement. A 2 step process that would separate platelets from cancerous cells. Magnetic or binding factors I believe was used? Any recall on this? I can’t quite remember the info but remember it was going to be quite significant when approved but not sure it was Baxter etc...

Baxter presents at the CIBC Health Care Conference tomorrow morning. About 180 companies also present at the 3 day conference.

Early next year BAX & XOMA will be taking a recombinant form of BPI, (Neuprex), into clinical trials, probably P II possibly P III for an indication other than Neuprex.

See xoma.com for information on Neuprex and a link to the conference schedule.
