Throw in encoding and decoding, compressing and decompressing, encrypting and decrypting. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure, but I don't believe any of the current benchmarks properly model this behavour. The type of computing described above will probably run quite well on a P4 system. I hope Intel addresses this in their introduction and performance descriptions. EP
